The companies in the Visana Group
The Visana Group comprises eight companies, and offers health, accident, top-up, property and liability insurance. Visana Services AG is responsible for its operational management.
Visana, sana24, and the recently merged vivacare and Galenos offer compulsory health insurance (CHI/OKP) under the Health Insurance Act (HIA/KVG). Visana Versicherungen AG offers top-up insurance under the Insurance Policies Act (IPA) and accident insurance under the Accident Insurance Act (AIA). Visana Allgemeine Versicherungen AG is the legal entity that provides property insurance and general liability insurance.
Visana Beteiligungen AG
This investment company owns 100 percent of the share capital of Visana AG, Visana Versicherungen AG, Visana Allgemeine Versicherungen AG, sana24 AG, vivacare AG and Galenos AG. Visana Beteiligungen AG can hold investments of all kinds. It is not involved in any operational activities.
Visana Versicherungen AG
Visana Versicherungen AG is the legal entity that provides top-up insurance under the Insurance Policies Act (IPA) and compulsory accident insurance under the Accident Insurance Act (AIA).
Visana Allgemeine Versicherungen AG
Visana Allgemeine Versicherungen AG is the legal entity that provides household contents, personal liability and home insurance.
Visana AG
Visana AG is the legal entity that provides compulsory health insurance and voluntary daily allowance insurance under the Health Insurance Act (HIA).
Galenos AG
Galenos AG is the legal entity that provides compulsory health insurance and voluntary daily allowance insurance under the Health Insurance Act (HIA).
Visana Services AG
This service company conducts the business operations of Visana AG, sana24 AG, vivacare AG, Galenos AG, Visana Versicherungen AG and Visana Allgemeine Versicherungen AG. All staff are employed by Visana Services AG.
