Commercial apprenticeships at Visana last three years. We offer three different types of commercial apprenticeship:
What you do during your apprenticeship will depend on the type you choose:
Federal Vocational Diploma as a commercial employee, services and administration
- You will assist the administration team with digital applications and organise events and meetings
- You will deal with customers’ written and phone enquiries
- You will work on projects and create documents and presentations
- You will help develop customer and supplier relations
- You will assist with finance and accounting and help manage our properties
Do you want to combine your commercial apprenticeship with a career in sports?
We offer apprentices on the commercial employee, services and administration track the chance to pursue a sports apprenticeship. We will support your career in sports by enabling you to combine your commercial apprenticeship with your sporting activities. Sports apprenticeships last four years instead of three.
Federal Vocational Diploma as a commercial employee, health and social insurance
- You will advise customers and conduct sales discussions
- You will deal with contract conclusion, enquiries about benefits and invoicing
- You will liaise with physicians and specialists by phone and in writing to clarify the benefits obtained by customers
- You will be the point of contact for benefits providers, authorities and other partners
Federal Vocational Diploma as a commercial employee, private insurance
- You will process insurance applications and serve and advise customers
- You will provide information and resolve liability and coverage issues connected with personal, property, liability or motor vehicle insurance
- You will support field-force insurance specialists
- You will prepare and assess risk assessments
- You will issue policies and calculate premiums

As one of Switzerland’s biggest insurance companies, Visana offers 15 to 20 apprenticeships each year. That means there are between 45 and 60 apprentices working at the company in any year.

Trial afternoons take place at Visana headquarters in Bern. Full-day trials are available if you are already going through the application procedure.
