With Outpatient top-up insurance, we contribute up to CHF 250 each year towards the costs of spectacle lenses and contact lenses.
Basic insurance covers medically necessary eye tests carried out by ophthalmologists. In certain cases, top-up insurance contributes towards the costs of preventive eye tests carried out by ophthalmologists.
The costs of eye tests carried out by opticians are not covered. However, as a person insured with Visana, you benefit from free eye scans at Kochoptik when purchasing a pair of glasses.
