Basic insurance covers medically necessary eye tests carried out by ophthalmologists. In certain cases, top-up insurance contributes towards the costs of preventive eye tests carried out by ophthalmologists.
The costs of eye tests carried out by opticians are not covered. However, as a person insured with Visana, you benefit from free eye tests at Optic 2000 when purchasing a pair of glasses.
