Information on cost coverage
In the event of invalidity due to illness
If illness suffered by the insured person leads to invalidity, the portion of the insured sum that we pay depends on the degree of invalidity:
- Degree of invalidity from 40% to 70%: The same percentage of the insured sum is paid out.
- Degree of invalidity 70% or higher: The full insured sum is paid out.
In the event of death due to illness
If the insured person dies as a result of illness, we pay the sum insured for the event of death to those entitled to it, regardless of any other insurance that may be in place.
Our lump-sum accident insurance (LAI/TUP) guarantees you financial security in the event of death or invalidity resulting from an accident. It offers a high level of security for a low premium and covers all accidents in everyday life – including car, motorcycle and aeroplane accidents.
The insurance can be taken out until the age of 65 is reached. It remains in place at a reduced level after retirement.
Note: This product can only be taken out in combination with the following Visana insurance products:
- Basic health insurance
- Basic top-up insurance
- Outpatient, Complementary and hospital insurance (all three must be taken out)
- Daily allowance insurance
- Top-up for accident-related medical costs
- Support and pension solution
